Description of narrative structure and use of film language

§  Structure/form – the sequence of events (linear or non-linear narrative). The film is linear because it only has one story line and flows in sequence

§  Mise-en-scene (setting/location, props, lighting, costume etc.,)

Location – College: Canteen, Quad, Media Studio, LRC, Sports hall and Music room.

Clothes – Dark jeans, Black gloves, black hat, black coat and black bag.

Props – Gun and pictures of previous massacres.


Body Language/Facial Expression- laughter of college students, constantly aggressive, violent, by Jim.

Lighting – natural light, artificial, low key high contrast


Cinematography (shot types and camera movements)

Shot types – High angle, low angle, close ups, medium shots, long shots, point of view, arc shot

Camera movement – tilt, pan, hand held, tracking
